Wholesome food for growing minds
FAQs
Do you cater for special dietry requirements?
We can provide vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free and vegan options and are very happy to talk through any special dietary requirements that children may have.
Our children have a school trip coming up. Can we order packed lunches?
Yes. We will deliver the packed lunch to your child's school the day before the trip to ensure it's there in time for them to take with them. We take the same approach to packed lunches that we do to our hot meals - they are packed full of nutritious, filling and tasty food.
What are the payment options?
We work with each school to identify the best way to pay. Our standard approach is to invoice the following week for meals delivered.
How many parents need to sign up in our school?
To make deliveries affordable we need to deliver a minimum number of lunches to your school each day. How many that is depends on location but we are more than happy to take time to talk it through and see if we can help.
When do we need to order?
Meal orders should be submitted by midday Thursday for the following week. If it is easier for you to order further in advance (say, once a term) then we can accommodate that.
Do children have to order every day?
No. Parents can order for as many or as few days as they like each week.
How often do I need to order?
You can order several weeks in advance so, once you have ordered, you can relax knowing that the lunches will arrive at your school every day.
What if a child doesn't like the food available on a given day?
There are at least three options to choose from every day and there is always a simpler jacket potato option. If there is a day that uptake numbers are down then we will look at replacing the scheduled meals with something more popular.
Which areas do you deliver to?
We are based in Wells, Somerset and would be very happy to discuss delivery options to anywhere within half an hour of our kitchens.
How is your food transported?
Our food is transported in temperature controlled boxes. Temperatures are taken and recorded when the food is cooked, when it is put into the box and when it is served to ensure that children receive the food at the appropriate temperature every time.
Can you help serve the food?
We would be happy to talk through any requirements that you have, including the need for serving staff. We understand that every school is different and we try to be flexible to match your requirements.
